Grey Carts (Household Garbage)

Grey CartGrey carts are emptied biweekly throughout the year.

You can view the Town’s 2024 Waste Collection Calendar for the Zone map and the scheduled pick up date for your address. 

Please have your grey cart at the curb for waste pick up by 7 a.m. on your designated collection day.

What Goes in My Grey Cart?

Whatever didn’t find a home in your Green Cart (compost) or your Blue Recycling Bag, will go into the Grey Cart (household garbage).

  • Plastic bags,

  • Plastics that don't have a recycle symbol
  • Styrofoam
  • Wax paper
  • Parchment paper
  • Wet wipes and cotton swabs
  • Worn-out clothing

For further information on the curbside waste collection program, please call the Town office at 403-783-4431.

Property owners can request an additional grey cart for $7.27 per month by calling the Town of Ponoka Office at 403-783-4431.
