A Compliance Certificate may be required for the purchase or sale of a home or for refinancing of an existing mortgage. These Certificates are issued by Development Services to verify that all permanent buildings and/or structures (i.e. houses, decks, detached garages, etc.) located within a property meet the setback requirements of the Land Use Bylaw and that any required permits have been obtained.
Another form of compliance application is a Condominium Review. This review is to confirm that a development converted to a condominium continues to comply with the Land Use Bylaw and the conversion complies with the original development permit approval.
