The Christmas tree pick-up program is an environmentally friendly way for citizens to dispose of their compostable Christmas trees each January.
The operations department makes one pass down each back alley to collect compostable Christmas trees.
If there is no back alley, residents are asked to place their compostable Christmas trees at the front of their property near the curb.
All collected Christmas trees are put in the compost pile at the Waste Transfer Station. Residents can also take their compostable trees to the Waste Transfer Station to be composted free of charge.
