The Christmas tree pick-up program is an environmentally friendly way for citizens to dispose of their compostable Christmas trees each January.
The Town of Ponoka will make one pass down each back alley in Ponoka to pick up compostable Christmas trees that have been placed outside for collection.
Residents who do not have a back alley can place Christmas trees near the curb at the front of their property, ensuring the items are visible for pickup.
Residents can also take their compostable trees to the Waste Transfer Station to be composted free of charge. To learn more about the Waste Transfer Station, please click here.
The next Christmas tree pick-up will occur on January 21, 2025. Please note that weather conditions may delay Christmas tree pickup as Town crews may have to divert their attention to snow and ice control operations.
