Public Hearings

The Town of Ponoka holds public hearings to give citizens the opportunity to voice their thoughts and opinions to Town Council.

Public hearings are held during Town Council meetings on the third floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre (5604 50 Street).

Upcoming Public Hearing - Proposed Land Use Bylaw Amendment:

There will be a public hearing on Wednesday, August 12 at 7 p.m. for a proposed Land Use Bylaw Amendment.

Bylaw No. 04-2026 proposes to amend the Town of Ponoka’s Land Use Bylaw by changing lands for parcel 5000 62 Avenue from Urban Reserve (UR) to a Direct Control (DC) District. The DC District is intended to accommodate a four-storey apartment development consisting of two buildings with shared indoor and outdoor amenity spaces.
