High Streamflow Advisory

High Streamflow Advisory in Effect for the Battle River Basin

Citizens are advised to be cautious around the Battle River due to a high streamflow advisory that has been issued by Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. The advisory indicates that water levels in the Battle River and its tributaries have risen.

The Town of Ponoka would like to remind residents to stay on the walking paths and keep away from the riverbanks when enjoying the Battle River Valley. No river related flooding is expected at this time.

The Town of Ponoka will continue to actively monitor the river levels.
