Ponoka Aquaplex - 5315 46 Avenue
The Aquaplex features a 5-lane, 25 meter swimming pool. A 12’ diving tank with a Rockwall, Rope, and Diving board, as well as a wading/ teach pool, whirlpool and sauna. The Aquaplex is Home of the Ponoka Pool Sharks & Ponoka Gators Swim Clubs.
There are morning, noon and evening lap swims, water fitness classes, and parent and tot programs. There is also a choice of toonie swims, public & family swim times along with adult swim & lap times.

Culture and Recreation Complex - 4310 54 Street
The Complex features two indoor ice skating surfaces, one large and one smaller. There is also the Ponoka Kinsmen/Scott Seaman Outdoor Sports Rink that is used for lacrosse during the warmer months. Two racquetball /squash courts are located in the back of the building.
A six sheet curling rink & lounge and a meeting room are available for rentals. The Ponoka Minor Hockey Association Canteen is the proud home of the Jr.B. Ponoka Stampeders. Recently, the Complex has undergone major renovations in the arena lobby, washrooms & dressing rooms.

Kinsmen Community Centre - 5009 46 Avenue
Features: Seats 250 for weddings, cabarets & family reunions. A meeting room that seats 50 people, and a partially equipped kitchen. An In-house caterer: Bob & Company catering (403-783-6165)
If a renter is not using the in-house caterer, kitchen use must be coordinated with Bob for use of equipment and supplies. For additional information, or to book the facility, call 403-783-4431.
The Sidewalk Game initiative was created by the Ponoka Parks, Recreation & Culture Committee and has seen extensive growth over the last 3 years. With the addition of various sidewalk games, it enables children to grow into caring, healthy adults and improves concentration and academic achievement. A community like Ponoka is an ideal place to promote health by creating daily opportunities to increase physical activity and reduce sedentary behaviour. Community based physical activity initiatives can reach every child regardless of age, ability, gender, culture, and socio-economic background.

These Sidewalk Games were created to promote physical activity, healthy living, and to encourage people to enjoy the outdoors. They are also designed to be unstructured play where kids can use their imagination to create their own fun. Be on the look out for more games coming in the future!
