2019 Budget Consultation and Planning Process
The Town of Ponoka wants to hear YOUR input as it begins the 2019 Budget public consultation and planning process. You are invited to fill out our annual pre-budget Community Input Survey to share your thoughts and suggestions on the 2019 Budget by clicking the link below. The survey will remain open until October 12, 2018.
You are also invited to attend our annual Budget Open House on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Kinsmen Community Centre. Drop in anytime from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Budget Open House will feature information displays that encourage citizens to ask questions, share ideas and offer input on the upcoming budget. It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the budget planning process, how property taxes are determined, and about current priorities being considered for the 2019 Budget.
Ponoka citizens are also invited to attend budget deliberation meetings on November 21 and 22 when Town Council meets to discuss and deliberate the details of the 2019 Budget.
“Our annual public consultation process on the budget is an important part of the Town’s ongoing commitment to invite public participation in Council decision-making processes,” says Ponoka Mayor Rick Bonnett. “Inviting public input allows Town Council to make more informed and thoughtful decisions that reflect what residents value most,” says Mayor Bonnett.
