Transitioning Back to 'Normal'
Did you know the Ponoka Town Office, located on the second floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre, reopened to public access in mid-June? Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
With the launch of Stage 3 of Alberta’s ‘Open for Summer Plan’, most provincial health restrictions are no longer in place at the Town Office and other Town of Ponoka facilities.
However, the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer Sandra Lund notes the transition to getting life ‘back to normal’ may take time.
“We expect some people will want to continue wearing masks and physical distancing for a while yet depending on their comfort level,” said Lund. “We encourage citizens and visitors at all Town facilities to please be respectful of people’s personal choices to still wear a mask or distance from others as a safety measure,” she said.
Citizens who wish to continue doing business with the Town by phone, email and online are encouraged to do so using the following contact information:
Drop Box: There is a drop box for bill payments and other correspondence with the Town just inside the doors on the west side of the Ponoka Civic Building. The drop box is available from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
